Fans will be treated to a suite of blockbuster clashes across the campaign, with South East Melbourne’s revamped roster launching basketball in Melbourne and hosting the first Throwdown in the traditional season opener slot ahead of the AFL Grand Final eve public holiday on Thursday, September 26.
For the first time ever, the Phoenix will host a game with the roof open when they take on the Adelaide 36ers on Saturday, December 21. Get ready for a festive affair filled with Christmas magic, as fans are treated to a spectacular show under the stars. This one is not to be missed!
Fans of the 90’s basketball, and the 90s in general will enjoy a throwback like no other, when the Phoenix pay tribute to the South East Melbourne Magic in the Hungry Jack’s NBL Heritage Round. Details will come as the round nears closer, with the showcase set to be jam packed with SEM Magic nostalgia and 90s fun, including a performance from a renowned 90’s artist!
Mike Kelly’s team will feature on Sundays four times this season in family-friendly timeslots. Fans will want to mark their diaries for the Sunday ahead of the Melbourne Cup holiday (Sunday, November 3), slated to be an extravaganza for kids of all ages, as the Phoenix take on the Perth Wildcats. A second home Throwdown against Melbourne United is also scheduled for Sunday afternoon, December 15, in what will surely be an in-demand clash for families!

As part of the NBL’s new broadcast deal, the Phoenix’s Sunday 2:30pm games will also feature on free-to-air TV through Network Ten.
