Off-Season Player Wrap: Sobey debuts in Puerto Rico

Nathan Sobey – Santeros de Aguada (BSN)
13PTS, 3REBS, 1AST, 3STLS, 1BLK vs Vaqueros de Bayamon
Co-captain Nathan Sobey was injected into the starting five with the Puerto Rican team Santeros de Aguada for his first game for the season.
Sobey continued his NBL25 form as he finds his feet in South America recording 13 points, three rebounds and three steals in the tough four-point loss to Vaqueros de Bayamon (58-62).
Owen Foxwell – Taranaki Airs (NZ NBL)
20PTS, 2REBS, 2ASTS, 3STLS vs Auckland Tuatara
Owen Foxwell helped his New Zealand side bounce back after a loss to Manawatu Jets last Tuesday where he didn’t suit up. Coming up against Phoenix teammate Tom Vodanovich’s Auckland Tuatara, the Airs had a solid 23-point win at home.
Foxwell was pivotal in the win scoring 20 points and working hard defensively with three steals in the win.
Tom Vodanovich – Auckland Tuatara (NZ NBL)
22PTS, 3REBS, 3ASTS vs Taranaki Airs
Despite the loss to the Airs, Tom Vodanovich had a standout game scoring 22 points going 6/15 from deep for Auckland.
Ben Ayre – EWE Baskets Oldenburg (BBL Germany)
7PTS, 2REBS, 3ASTS vs Ludwigsburg
Ben Ayre had his second game in Germany taking on Ludwigsburg, who were formerly coached by Josh King.
The point guard scored seven points, two rebounds and registered three assists in the side’s 13-point win on the weekend.
